In my opinion, with this whisky Macallan is cementing its strategy of bringing bottlings onto the market that do nothing right and nothing wrong – like a person who everyone knows exactly that he is acting according to a certain agenda, and against which you are does not have any solid evidence in hand. You’re asking a comparatively lot of money for a 12-year-old whisky that has the minimum alcohol content and flavors, but is still round enough not to hurt anyone. This pattern runs through all bottlings. Kind of frustrating.

I love this Enigma from Macallan. Perfect amount of deep fruity, sherry flavors, and the finish is amazing. Nose is so wonderful. On of my top favorites from Macallan. Honestly, it is way better and smoother than scotches I have had that are more than twice its price. Having 3-4 back up bottles is a requirement for me now. This could easily be an every night treat.
